With the MS 150 only a few weeks away, I decided it was time to go ahead and give the Ba-cheetah the set of spankin' new, red Michelin Ironman tires I bought last month. While I was at it, I cleaned and lubed the chain in preparation for this weekend's century attempt.
Here's my steed all gussied up and looking proud:
The senses consume. The mind digests. The blog expels.
Certain individuals keep telling me that I should be a writer (Hi Mom). This is probably as close as I'll ever come to making that happen.

Pimp my ride!
Allez, I've seen your ride. It's already pinked... er... pimped.
Does it have a special tire stand, too? That's rather ingenious.
Emma: The stand isn't specific to my bike or recumbents. A lot of bike shops use those to display bikes that don't have kickstands when they're not hanging on the mass storage racks.
I'm currently having to partially disassemble my bike to transport it. Not only does it make reassembly quicker and easier, but it's also a lot safer for Dorian's paint job than leaning the bike against him. After the wind blew the bike over last month and nicked the rear bumper, I decided it was time to spring for the stand.
I know, I know... and I STILL haven't put my new pink & black tires on!!!
I'm doing the Edgewood 80 on April 21. Nice rally with small town charm. Lance jr is coming, so we'll only be riding the 32 mile route. Maybe we'll see you there?
Allez: I probably won't be doing any other for-pay rallies until after the MS 150, but I'll be looking for you guys after that. I think the first one--which I need to see about registering for--is the Wild Ride. 'Til then, I'll be taking advantage of the supported training rides the MS 150 folks provide.
Eric: You jest, but I've actually caught a bit more air than I'd like, on a couple occasions. A few wheelies, too. Both are fairly disconcerting when you're basically lying on your back and can't soak up the impact with your legs.
I think I may have seen a few highracers with kickstands attached to the chainstays or on the dropouts, but I've yet to find out who makes the things or where to get them.
Now all you need is some neons around the rims. Oh yeah.
