Lovely! Btw, I want your door. What's your address so I can steal it? ;)

Tink: You're not the only one who wanted it! So did the contractors. We're lucky no one took it before we closed. That's FOO's door, btw. I think I've seen similar one's like it at Home Depot or Lowe's. Not the same quality, but similar in appearance.

Foo: Thanks sweetie. It looks fan-tas-tic!

Tink: [chuckling knowingly] You may have noticed that I blurred our house number before posting the picture.

And Turtle's right. When the house was still under construction, the builders went ahead and hung the door while the whole place was open. Anyone could have walked in while the workers weren't there, taken it off the hinges, and driven away with it. As it is, the contractors had to replace a pair of French doors because they hung them too soon and someone stole them. Idiots.

I am SO laughing at this post! I made HubbaHoney put up our flagpole this past Tuesday (the 3rd) that we got as a Christmas present from my Dad. I wanted it up for the 4th. He spent quite a bit of time trying to drill into the brick. To make a LONG pole mounting story short - he spent from 4:00 a.m. until about 6:00 p.m. on his day off for Independence Day down with a drilling-induced migraine. What a great day!

By the way - nice house! I have envy.

Nice, nice flag, nice door...

NICE HOUSE!

Hope you both (and everyone here who posted) had a nice 4th.

Anne: Be sure to pass along the hammer drill tip to HubbaHoney. It's an expensive rental, but it sure beats migraines and taking hours to drill the holes. Next time, I'll have a list of holes that need drilled, and I'll get together with neighbors who need to drill holes. Split the cost. One person drills his holes, passes the drill off, and we get the thing back to the rental center in time to avoid late fees.

Thanks for the compliment on the house, guys. My latest thing to fret over are the two big brown patches in the front yard, where some rabbit took a dump. Apparently, rabbit pellets contain Roundup.
