...and Chuck.
I've been seeing the amusing and slightly mysterious teases on NBC for the last week or so. Tonight I finally took the bait and wandered over to the www.chuckssecret.com web site to see what the deal is.
The fact that I'm now eagerly awaiting the Fall premier of this show probably reveals more about me than I'd like, but I can't wait. Based on the preview, Chuck looks like Get Smart meets Gotcha meets Clerks, with maybe a bit of The Office (if The Office took place in Best Buy and if it was funny).
The senses consume. The mind digests. The blog expels.
Certain individuals keep telling me that I should be a writer (Hi Mom). This is probably as close as I'll ever come to making that happen.

It sounds like the name of a men's store... like victorias secret :-)
Okay. I watched it but didn't get it. I guess that was the point. Don't you love marketing?
Allez: Chuck's Secret? I don't even want to try to imagine what they'd sell. Tighty Whities, designer sweat pants, and pre-stained ties? I wouldn't want to shop at Serge's Secret either, you understand (ifyaknowwhatImeanandIthinkyoudo), but there's got to be something between slob chic and "girlfrieeeeeend!!"
Anne: Depends on which link you followed. The first "Chuck" link is a trailer for the show. The "www.chuckssecret.com" one is the marketing thing. It's intended to convey the impression of the blur of subliminal information that Chuck received when he opened that mysterious e-mail (which you'll understand better if you follow the first link).
And yes, I hate marketing too. Fortunately, I'm obstinately resistant to it, as Turtle can attest. It's not that I don't watch the commercials, but I typically have no idea who most of them are advertising for.
great, thanks a lot now I'm going to have to get cable!! as for the computer nerd thing are you saying you are a computer nerd who moonlights with the CIA??????
Well, I love Marketing, but that's what I do for a living. Get into yer head. That shows a perfect fit for geek's like my hunny. It'll keep him out of the bars and off the streets (unless he's riding his bike).
ba doozie: He might just be. I always suspected he was living a double life behind my back. Now I know!!! It's confirmed.
