Fantasy band meme
Via Gwynne via Eric via... aw hell, you get the idea. The idea behind this meme is to take three somewhat random bits of content and create from them a fictitious band, album, and album cover (or CD insert, if you must).
Here are the rules:
Finally, here's Even If It's Wrong, the latest (and only) release by The Boshin War, which fictitiously debuted at #10.
The base image of the Rolls Royce is here. My random Wikipedia article was about The Boshin War. “Even if it's wrong” was my random quote fragment. Unfortunately, I didn't think to make note of the whole thing or who said it.

The first article title on the page is the name of your band. - Visit http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the last quote on the page is the title of your album. - Visit http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/The third picture on the page is your album cover.

But my random Wikipedia article was "The General Secretary of Defence (France)" and I just gave up.
I kept hearing "Der Kommisar" in my head, and nothing good ever happens from that.
zha zha
Der Comissar's in town uh oh..
LOL
Couldn't resist...sorry
@bret: It's tough, if you get the wrong stuff. I got lucky (although I wasn't quite sure what I was going to make of the Rolls, at first).
@lou: Yer an instigator, as always. Happy New Year!
I realize now that I forgot to make note of or get permission to use the image I found on Flickr. What are the chances of finding it again, I wonder?
I'm probably a bit more of a stickler about copyrights than most people. Part of it is that it upsets me when I find someone has taken my work without attribution, much less permission. It's only fair, then, that I do unto others. Questions of legality aside, I just don't need the potential ill will and negative karma.
Flickr makes doing things legally pretty easy, though. Many images have very open Creative Commons licenses assigned to them and don't require explicit permission for use; others have standard copyrights, but getting permission is as simple as shooting the owner a FlickrMail. In the case of the album cover, I went ahead and posted the image but sent the owner a note with the link to my blog and a promise to immediately take it down if he objected to my use of his image.
Turtle thinks I'm wound too tightly.
