Wanna see something really funny? Catch some cheesy old Hong Kong chop-socky flick on Telemundo, dubbed in Spanish. Say, Invicible Armor, the synopsis of which reads, "Falsamente acusado de asesinato por un corrupto oficial, un hombre usa las artes marciales para limpiar su honor."
The truly disconcerting part is that I actually got the gist of it.
The senses consume. The mind digests. The blog expels.
Certain individuals keep telling me that I should be a writer (Hi Mom). This is probably as close as I'll ever come to making that happen.

*Snort* You sound like Hoop! I caught him watching Spanish soap operas the other day. He was seeing how much he could understand.
I watched Telemundo with Doozie and The Boy. I even translated for them. I don't think I'll get a job as a translator anytime soon.
The only Telemundo I watch is when they're making fun of clips on "The Soup" on E!
Tink: Sure, he was trying to see how much he could understand. Have you seen the T&A on the "Slutty Mexican Channel" (as one of my exes used to refer to it)?
Emma: It doesn't matter. The funnest part of doing that is making up dialogue that's even more ridiculoso than you know the real stuff is.
Allez: Understandable. It grates on my nerves if I see more than 30 seconds at a time, usually. I made an exception for the kung fu dubbed in Spanish, because it tickled me almost as much as the time some of my buddies and I watched the South Park movie dubbed in French with the English subtitles on.
